Maydena Bike Park

Offering world-class mountain biking trails in the picturesque Derwent Valley is the Maydena Bike Park, which opened to riders in early 2018. It was built by Dirt Art, a team of specialist consultants, designers and construction experts who have established themselves as world leaders in sustainable trail design methodologies.

Nestled in a lush rainforest setting, the park currently boasts more than 70 individual trails that are designed for everyone from beginner to elite riders. With its 820-metre vertical elevation, you can be sure there are epic descending trails for the most experienced mountain bikers, as well as a family-friendly ride and an immersive wilderness trail.

Whether you need bike hire, coaching or a shuttle to the trailheads, the friendly team at the Maydena Bike Park can be of assistance. Their headquarters is based in the beautiful township of Maydena, which lies on the banks of the Tyenna River, en route to glorious Lake Pedder and Southwest National Park.

Maydena also serves as a gateway to the Styx Big Tree Reserve (featuring some of the tallest trees on Earth) and is home to the Railtrack Riders. This unique, pedal-powered experience takes you along a historic stretch of railway while immersing you in the forestry heritage of the region.
