Ulverstone to Turners Beach Cycling

Distance: 7.7 km | Duration: 1 to 2 hours | Start: Buttons Beach | End: Turners Beach

Beginning at Buttons Beach in the north of Ulverstone, this paved trail hugs the coast as it winds its way east to Turners Beach. It’s set well back from the Bass Highway for the majority of the route, taking in peaceful agricultural land with glimpses across the sparkling waters of Claytons Bay.

Along the way, you’ll cycle past the Ulverstone Miniature Railway, which runs on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, as well as a small creek and pasture where horses roam. At Turners Beach, you can enjoy a stroll on the sand before making the return journey to Ulverstone. Alternatively, why not grab a coffee at the Turners Beach Berry Patch or refuel with lunch at La Mar cafe.
